Thurrock Court Players Present: The Rise and Fall of Little Voice
September 24 - September 26
The Billericay Theatre are delighted to welcome Thurrock Court Players with the first of their touring productions this year.
“The Rise and Fall of Little Voice” is a play about a young woman, LV (Little Voice), who finds solace and escape in impersonating famous female singers, especially after the death of her father. Her reclusive life is disrupted when her flamboyant, man-hungry mother, Mari, brings home a sleazy talent agent, Ray Say, who recognizes LV’s vocal talent as a potential ticket to fame and fortune. The play explores themes of exploitation, manipulation, and the search for one’s own voice, ultimately highlighting the impact of fame and the importance of self-discovery.
